    Beerwout I van Egmont (geboren ca. 1050 – overleden 1096), achtste heer van Egmond.
    Beerwout had een belofte aan de abt Stephanus van Gendt, hoeder van de abdij van Egmond gedaan om met de Eerste Kruistocht mee te gaan, om zo de zonde van zichzelf en zijn voorvaderen te doen vergeten. Bij terugkomst had de abt zijn pacht van zes tienden tot heerlijkheid laten verklaren en tevens de erfrechten schriftelijk vast laten leggen. Hij werd opgevolgd door zijn zoon Beerwout II van Egmont.
    Hij was gehuwd met Eleonora van Oostervant, mogelijk een zuster van Anselm I, graaf van Oostervant, erfburggraaf van Valenciennes en heer van Ribemont. Zij overleed op 3 juni 1091.

    Kinderen uit dit huwelijk:
    – Barwout II van Egmont
    – Steven van Egmont, vijfde abt van Egmond ( overleden op 3 januari 1105).
