'Eene verklaring afgegeven door de geneesheer H.A. van den Ring uit Westhem den eersten maand Februarij, waaruit blijkt dat des bruidegoms moeder zoodanig krankzinnig is dat zij zich in de onmogelijkheid bevindt haren wil te verklaren'.
Deze verklaring in de huwelijksbijlagen van genoemde huwelijksakte luidt:
'.... verklaart de ondergetekende de huisvrouw 1) van Sjeerp Pieters Pietersma winkelier in Greonterp in zoodanige mate als krankzinnig moet worden aangerekend onbekwaam te zijn tot alle intellectueele handelingen. Ik heb - de waarheid hulde doende - gemeend dit getuigschrift te moeten afgeven om te strekken naar behooren.
