    De Tulewei beemden liggen langs de Rode beek en de buitenste gracht om Susteren heen. Het toponiem was vooral bekend omdat hier schutterij Sebastianus het jaarlijks koningschieten hield. In 1785 wordt de schutterij eigenaar van een perceel, welke ze overnemen van Tobias Meuffels.

    Daarna vinden we hem niet meer in de begraafregisters van Susteren. Tobias Meuffels staat niet meer op de franse volkstellingslijst van Susteren uit 1799.
