Canton was immers altijd de haven geweest waar de ambassadeurs met hun (handels)gevolg aan land moesten komen in afwachting van de komst van hun Libu begeleiders. Aan het Hof fungeerde het Libu, het Ministerie van Eredienst, verantwoordelijk voor het Keizerlijk Ritueel, dus ook meteen als Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken en ontving in die hoedanigheid, zou je kunnen zeggen, Ambassadeurs.
    Akten van Indemniteit stad Amersfoort: 14-01-1754 Elsje Kristiaans vertrokken naar Utrecht, weduwe van Jan Peters Minjon; mag te allen tijde terugkeren naar Amersfoort.
