Oudste tot nu toe bekende stamvader van het geslacht Flohil ook Vloeyhill
genaamd, wat zou zijn ontleend aan heuvel tegen de Vloed. Het geslacht Flohil woonden eeuwen voornamelijk in Duiveland, als onderdeel van het eiland Schouwen- Duiveland. In 1300 bestond dit eiland nog uit 4 afzonderlijke eilanden t.w. Schouwen, Dreischor, Bommenede en Duiveland. Dezen vloeiden rond 1610 door bedijking ineen. Was Lantman ws. te Sirjansdam binnen de Hoogheerlijkheid Bruinisse. Vestigde zich rond 1515 in Oost- Duveland mogelijk op Stamboerderij "Stelhoek" Was Kerkmeester van de Parochie St. Jacob de Mindere van 1534 tot 1557.
