Kocht in 1761 Boerderij Duifhuis, beter bekend als "de 3 boeren " (naar de 3 stichters) aan de Zwartedijk bij de Papelaan. Werden in de 2e helft van de 18e eeuw notabelen in het Westland, voornamelijk door de aardappelenteelt, waaraaan zij een zekere rijkdom te danken hadden.
