Notes about Cornelis Abraham Remijnse

Van Cornelis weet men weinig, alleen wat niet goed is en daar werd natuurlijk over gezwegen.
Toen Mie nog leefde, heeft Cornelis haar een brief geschreven, waarin hij meedeelde dat hij terug wilde komen ( ze zijn nooit gescheiden).
Deze brief is door de familie onderschept en er werd beslist om deze brief niet aan Mie te laten lezen. De brief is nooit beantwoord.
Deze gegevens zijn afkomstig van een dochter van Abram Remijnse en worden vermeld in een schrijven van D.Remijnse uit Willemstad (15/12/1983).
Cornelis is eerst paardenknecht geweest op de boerderij van zijn vader.
Daarna heeft hij zich bezig gehouden met dorsmachines. Later werd hij koopman.
Hij werd failliet verklaard in febr 1908. Hij ging op 21 maart 1910 met vrouw en kind naar de VS.
