Op 24/12/1811 neemt Teede Wygers voor hem en zijn 5 kinderen de naam Kootstra aan, als volgt omschreven:
Wyger- 36 jaar- wonende Stroobosch, Gepke -28 jaar- wonende Koten, Hinderik -26 jaar- wonende Twijzel, Anne -25 jaar- wonende Kollumerzwaag en Paulus - 19 jaar wonende Kollumerzwaag.

Over het voorgeslacht van Taede bestaat ook enige twijfel:
De vader van Taede: Wieger Sjuks, *ca. 1725,zoon van Sjuk, gehuwd met Gepke Ybeles

Gehoorgevende aan de decreten van Keizer Napoleon uit 1810 en 1811, waren er in Frieland 27 gezinnen die de naam Kootstra aannamen of reeds voerden. In Drachten en Oostermeer elk 2; in Bergum 3 en in Buitenpost12.
Onder de hoofden van deze gezinnen bevonden zich 4 weduwen en het totaal aantal kinderen behorende tot deze gezinnen was 75 en 4 kleinkinderen.

Als voorgeslacht van deze Taede komen ook in aanmerking: Sjuk(Kootstra) geb.voor 1700; bij een onbekende vrouw had hij een zoon Wyger Sjuk.
Deze Wyger trouwde met Gepke Ybeles, Hij kreeg bij Gepke Ybeles 2 (of meer?) kinderen:Engeltje Wygers,(geb.ca. 1731 overl. 24-3-1818 Twijzel) enTeede Wygers, geb ca. 1740 te Kooten

In de overlijdensakte van zoon Paulus 26/4/1839, wordt vermeld dat Taede is overleden.
