Notes about Metje [Meta] Boonstra

Hello Hilda--here is a copy of the Obituary Notice of our mother Meta (Metje) Postma.  
 
"Meta, at the age of 99, passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord on January 4, 2017 at Meno Hospital Abbottsford BC, surrounded by loving nurses, care staff, her daughter and son-in-law.  Born in Drachten, Friesland, Netherlands, she immigrated to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1949 with her late husband Siebe who passed away in 2009, eventually settling in London, Ontario.  In the early 1970's they retired to Abbotsford BC. Meta is survived by two sisters, Afke and Hillie and one brother, Libby in the Netherlands; her children John (Ingrid) and Vic (Elizabeth) in Ontario and Anne (Ron) in Abbotsford; her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private ceremony will be held Wednesday January 11th at Trinity Christian Reformed Church and she will be laid to rest with her husband at Sunnyside Lawn in White Rock.On behalf of the family we would like to thank all the staff at Menno Hospital, both past and present; who cared for Mom so lovingly over the past 5 years.
