Ifølge Emigrantprotokoll nr. 15, 1916-1926, Trondheim politikammer så emigrerte Bertinus Lyngstad, gift D/S Styrmann, f. 1880, bosted, Trondhjem, til Canada den 12/4-1924.

I dødsfallsmeldinger Trondheim byfogd 1930-1933 står følgende: Sjømand Berndt (Berntinus) Lyngstad, bopel Nonnegt. nr. 2 Trondheim er ifg. indberetning fra generalkonsultatet i New York av 6/1-32, gjennem Det kgl. Handels og Sjøfartsdepartementet avgåt ved døden 26/11-1931. Hans hustru Lena lever og bor i Nonnegt. nr. 2, Trondheim. Hustruen oplyser at ekteparet har flg. barn: 1) Arne, f. 7/4-1910, 2) Nora, f. 20/12-1912, 3) Ingvar, 19/4-1915 og 4) Bjørn, f. 18/12-1920. Eier intet. Fattigunderstøttet.
