Funeral services for Dick Post, who died on Tuesday, August 7, 1951 were held Friday, August 10, at the Christian Reformed church. Dr. Herman Kuiper officiated and Rev. S. Kammenga led in prayer. Burial was made in Valley View Cemetery. Mr. Post died in his home after a long illness. He was born in Oosterlieum, Netherland, September 4, 1882. He was married to Miss Dena Vugteveen in 1909 and to this union were born two children; a daughter (Gertrude) Mrs. Sam Westra and a son, Walter Post. Mrs. Post preceded him in death in 1932. Mr. Post married Mrs. J.L. De Vries in the year of 1935. Theyfarmed near Rock Rapids until 1944, when they moved to Rock Valley. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Post of Rock Valley, the children, nine grandchildren and nine step-children, five sisters and two brothers, Pete Post of Compton, Calif., and Jim of Chandler, Minn., Mrs. Gerrit Tilstra, Canton, S. D., Mrs. W.H. Vugteveen, Rock Valley, Mrs. Jennie Buma of Chico, Calif., Mrs. Case Noteboom of Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Henry Vande Kamp of Hollandale, Minn., and also several nieces and nephews. Those here for the funeral service were Lue De Vries, South Holland, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Clarence De Vries and Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Sprik, Zeeland, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Vugteveen, Mrs. Fronia Vugteveen, Mrs. Fred Greenfield and Mrs. Fred Timmer and Mrs. Clifford Peterson, all of Pease, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vande Kamp and Walter, Hollandale, Minn., Mrs. Gordon Dearborn and Mrs. Harvye Larsen of Council Bluffs, la., and Mrs. George Brandsma, Hawarden; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Harmelink, Sheldon; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Harmelink, Fairview, S. D., also George Harmelink; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gorier, Luverne, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. De Vries, Mr. and Mrs. Art Gislof and Harry Gislof, Rock Rapids; Mr.and Mrs. Wm.
