Sioux Center News; August 12, 1981 Horton Jacobsma, 81, Hospers, died Tuesday, August 4, at his home. Services were at 10:30 A.M. Friday in the First Christian Reformed Church at Hospers. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery. Mr. Jacobsma was born March 16, 1900 in Alton. His parents were Syje and Fredrika (Woertink) Jacobsma. He married Anna Vander Lee February 22, 1922, at Newkirk. Survivors include the widow; three sons, Searle, John and Arvin; three daughters, Freda, Mildred, and Hortense "Bub"; a brother, Clarence; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Vander Berg and Mabel; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
