Christoffer Arnesen Bråten ble født på Bergseie (Høgloft) 11.6.1828. Konfirmert 13.8.1843, han var da på Høgloft. Gift 13.10.1851 med Olea Olsdtr. Haravika. Hun ble født 1825, datter av Ole Olsen. De var på Haravika (under Sørum) i 1852, Kokkestad i 1854 og Bråten(under Bakke) i 1855 og 1857.

Christoffer kjøpte Høgloft av sin far i 1849 (se skjøte og kjøpekontrakt gjengitt ovenfor). Han solgte bruket til Ole Gulbrandsen Berg, skjøte datert 22.2.1853. Senere ble Høgloft overtatt av Ole Olsen Berget. Han solgte bruket i 1867 til Christoffers søster Kari Arnesdtr. og hennes mann (se ovenfor).
Christoffer og Olea meldte utflytting til Sverige 15.4.1857 sammen med barna Siri, Ole og Anton.
