Poppe is getrouwd te Drachten op 2 maart 1766, op ongeveer 25-jarige leeftijd met Neeltje Kornelis (21 jaar oud), geboren te Drachten op 17 juli 1744, gedoopt aldaar op 9 augustus 1744, overleden aldaar op 8 oktober 1829,85 jaar oud, dochter van Kornelis Luitsens en Trijntje Hanses. Neeltje is later getrouwd te Drachten op 1 juni 1777, op 32-jarige leeftijd met Jacob Keimpes, touwslagersknecht, overleden voor 1811. Bron: sneuphoek
