MINK CREEK, Idaho - Bonnie Lou Larsen, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2011, in Mesa, Ariz., at Mission Palms of Mesa Health and Rehabilitation. She was born Dec. 23, 1934, in Preston, Idaho, to J. Leslie and Florence Hobbs. Bonnie was sealed for time and all eternity to Raylo Barlow Larsen in the Logan LDS Temple on May 1, 1953. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She lived most of her married life in Mink Creek as a farmer's wife. Bonnie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over the years, she served in many callings including the Stake Relief Society presidency and board, Relief Society president, Young Women's president, Primary president, librarian, activities committee, teacher and music director. When she wasn't working on the farm or serving those around her, she loved crafts. She enjoyed sewing, painting, crocheting and quilting. She also loved to go on long bike rides with her family, write in her journal and bake yummy treats. Bonnie is survived by her son, R. Craig (Elaine) Larsen of Mink Creek, Idaho; her daughter, Sheri Lynn (Richard) Hendricks of Mesa, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Hopson and Angie (Ross) Conlin; and two brothers, Bruce (Marjorie) Hobbs and Kent (Delores) Hobbs. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raylo, and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, in the Mink Creek LDS Chapel with Bishop Kent Egley conducting. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the new Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 8th East, Preston, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be in the Mink Creek Cemetery.
