George had tuberculosis when he was younger. As an adult he had a

surprise visit from Rick Roos when he was in Seattle to see the World

Fair, Rick had emergency surgery for apendicitisand George took him

in until he was well enough to travel back to Wisconsin. George raised

seven children, five from his first wife and two from his second wife.

George held many jobs including working for his brothers in Montana.

He left Montana for Seattle and eventually became a used car salesman.
