Hilda took her mother in to live with her after the death of Charles

Stromberg. Hilda was a nurse in a Sanatorium for tuberculosis. She

eventually contracted the disease herself. Hilda had tuberculosis and

was very sick. Her mother had to live with Orville and his family in

Montana until Hilda recovered sufficiently to care for her aging

mother. After her mother died, she was more fun loving and free. She

travelled and was very outgoing. She never married or had any

children.
