Reason:Standard
Reason:The family was living in Cerro Gordo, Iowa, at this time. Elie's husband Ole was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery in 1875. He shares a gravestone with his son Ole and Ole's wife Bergethe. It is believed that Elie is also buried nearby in the same cemetery, but her grave is unmarked.
Elie Torstensdatter was born 3 September 1811 in Aarvelta, Rollag, Buskerud, Norway, to Ingeborg and Torsten Torstensen. Elie married Ole Olsen on 6 November 1834 in Rollag Parish. After their marriage, the couple moved first to Wisconsin, but eventually settled in Cerro Gordo, Iowa. Elie is believed to have died in 1874 in Cerro Gordo, Iowa, and to have been buried in an unmarked grave. Elie's brother Thore was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and also immigrated to America, so it is unclear if Elie's immigration was also related to this new religion.
NOTE Elie Torstensen was Tora Thurston sister, and lived in Wisconsin. Her husband died 5 march 1875 in Olowa. Whether they ever joined the church we do not know, nor if they left a family. Some of the family went to Denmark, but just where, we do not know. Elie's Husbands name was Ola Olsen. She emigrated to America 1865 and settled in Clear Lake, Iowa
