The former '''Jean Tollefson''' was born April 21, 1919, in L'Anse, a daughter of the late Adolph Tollefson and Julia (Eliassen) Tollefson. Jean was a 1937 L'Anse High School graduate. She married Oiva Moilanen in 1940 in L'Anse and he preceded her in death on September 28, 1965. Jean Moilanen married Steven Ayers in June 12, 1982 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1983. Jean Ayers was employed for several years as a clerk in the tax assessment department for Baraga County. Jean was a member of United Lutheran Church. She was survived by a son, John (Diane) Moilanen of Peoria, AZ; 2 daughters, Julia (John) Stroube of Cody, WY and Jean (James) Schultz of L'Anse; grandchildren, Ray, Tim, Jim, Jessica, Donna & Denise; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews; 1 brother-in-law & 4 sister's-in-law. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers & 4 sisters.
