Der vokste hun opp sammen med søskene Bertine, Magda, Charlotte, Anna, Johan (Vassbotn), Carl(utvadret til Amerika), Kristian (utvandret til Amerika) og Magnus (utvandret til Amerika). Dina var flink å lage mat og fikk jobb som kokke i Sulitjelma gruver. Der traff hun en kjekk arbeider som jobbet i gruva i smeltehytta.. Det var han Johan Martin. Hun jobbet på kjøkkenet som kokk. De giftet seg 2. februar 1910 og fikk to barn Mary Johanne (1910) og Karl Martin (1911) i Saltdalen før de flyttet i 1912-13 til Lofoten. Der bodde de hos han Berteus i Vian. Barnet Hallfrid Halldora ble født her i 1914. De kjøpte gården Raumo.Gården het Raumo og grenda heter Vian. Der bodde de i fjøsen den første tiden. Kuene i Kjelleren. Martha (1918) ble født i fjøset. De bygde hus ved siden av fjøset og flyttet inn. Den nyfødte het Marie (1920). Året etter kom Johan Kristian Bang(1921), Så kom barna Bergliot Gunmilde Kornelia (1922), Hans Albert (1924) og Ottar Dagfinn Bjarne(1925).
