John Huntsman married Alice Linder Kinney, widow of Marshal Kinney, 22 Jan. 1835, Belmont Co. OH. Their children were, Celia, Phebe Catherine, Nancy Maria, Caroline Cassandra, and William John Huntsman. John Huntsman Service Record: Enlisted as a Musician on 13 March 1862 at the age of 48. Enlisted in Company H, 61st Infantry Regiment Ohio on 13 March 1862. Received a disability discharge Company H, 61st Infantry Regiment Ohio on 11 October 1862 in Washington DC. John may have been the author of a hymnal. Social Melodies, Being a Collection of the most popular Hymns and Spiritual Songs, Now in use. Compiled by John Huntsman, Pubished by E. Harris & J.
