    Mrs. Edna W. Hoffman, age 81, died early Friday morning, February 20, 1998. She was born April 2, 1916, in Muskegon, to Henry and Jennie (Veenstra) Medema and had been a life resident.

    Mrs. Hoffman had been an assistant librarian for Muskegon Public Schools, prior to her retirement. She was an active member of Unity Reformed Church and of its numerous ladies groups.

    She was married to Herman J. Hoffman on August 2, 1938, and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1996.

    Survivors include 3 children, Judith Ganeff of Chicago, Illinois, Marilyn Hoffman of Sylvania, Ohio, and Robert (Yvonne) Hoffman of Muskegon; and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her only brother, George Medema.

    Services will be 3 pm Monday at Unity Reformed Church (1521 Porter Rd.) with Rev. James Bos, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
