Sara trouwde op 3 Juli 1940 in Amsterdam met Isaac Leidensdorff, diamantslijper en zoon van Joseph Leidensdorff en Kitty Mock.
Haar man Isaac Leidensdorff was in 1937 vanuit Amsterdam naar Antwerpen vertrokken waar hij woonde in de Grammestraat 32 in Deurne. Isaac keerde korte tijd terug naar Amsterdam voor zijn huwelijk met Sara en na hun huwelijk verbleven zij nog kort in Amsterdam maar vertrokken weer naar Antwerpen. Voor zover bekend hadden Isaac en Sara geen kinderen

Sara is met konvooi 21 op 31 Juli 1943 vanuit Mechelen naar Auschwitz gedeporteerd; zij is bij aankomst daar op 3 Augustus 1943 onmiddellijk vermoord. Haar man Isaac Leidensdorff heeft de Holocaust overleefd; hij is hertrouwd met Gertudis Nijs en kreeg met haar drie kinderen. Isaac overleed op 26 November 1982 in Brussel.
