Mijn overgrootvader Marcus Keizer (1853-1892) had een zus Rachel (1864-1937) die getrouwd was met Jacob Drielsma (1867-1931), die samen met zijn broer Hessel (1874-1942) een rijwielhandel had in Leeuwarden. Hun fietsen verkochten ze onder de naam "Lewone" en dat is merkwaardig, want het zijn hoogst waarschijnlijk de enige die met een Hebreeuwse naam in ons land verkocht zijn. Lewone is de askenazische uitspraak van ????? dat 'maan' betekent, ook in het jiddisj wordt lewone voor maan gebruikt. Jaren geleden heb ik een balhoofdplaatje gevonden, sinds gister staat er ook een complete fiets van het merk in de schuur.
