On August 24 an afternoon wed-
ding was celebrated at Ibo Metho-
dist Church,- Ulverstone, when Rev

and dainty plum blossom. The fair
hailed bride, who was given . awa>
hy lier father, wore a long-sleeved
gown of powder blue crepe, cut with
a long train. The coiselettc-wais-
ted bodice was embroidered with a
floral aprny of seed pearls, and had
a heart-shaped, neckline. The back
was fastened from neck to low waist-
line with small covered buttons and
loops, and the fkirt fell in sufi
folds to the floor. A voil of silk
embroidered tulle (loaned by Mrs. R
Ling, thc bride's sister) was caught
to her hair with icc blue and cream
hyacinths. A bouquet (mude and
presented by Mis. A. L. Shndbolt,
the bride's aunt) of tho panic flow-
ers, among pastel rosebuds and as-
paragus fern, was curried. - Thc
bride wore a pearl necklace (a gift
from the 'groom's mother), nnd
which was a family heirloom sent
from England. Tho bridal cushion
of white satin, worked with horse;
shoes and pink and blue furgot-ino
nots, was loaned by Mrs. A. Wal-
ker, of Binna. As the bride left
the church, silver boviicsbocs tied
with satin ribbons were placed on
her ann by one of her sisters.
In attendance on the bride were
her twin sisters, Mrs. F. Dawes, as
matron of honor, nnd Miss June
Thompson, as bridesmaid. The
former wore white moire taffetas,
with "a flowing skirt and a bustle
effect at tho back. Her companion
was frocked in similnrly styled white
crepe, nnd both wore long white
kid gloves. Their headdresses,' ha-
loes of fresh cream and red polynnthi
nnd asparagus fern, matched their
bouquets. The 'groom wa« attend-
ed by Mr. Robin liing as best man
and-Mr. Ross Thompson, thc bride's
brother, as groomsman. The ushers
were Messrs. Frank Dawes and Ian
Thompson.
- A reception was held at Mrs. G.
V. Yaxley's Main street home, where
the tables were prettily decorated
with springtime flowers. A three
tiered wedding cake was made by
the bride's sister (Mrs. R. Ling.
South Burnie) and. decorated in
white and silver, with touches of
pale blue, by Mrs. A. Allen. Rev.
Medson presided. Mrs. Thompson,
the. bride's mother, received in a
black frock trimmed with black Ince
and contrasted with blue. Her
small black felt hat was lightened
with veiling, and a spray of blue
grape hyacinths and cream blossom
was fastened in her fur cape. Mrs..

wore a doral frock under her brown
coat. Her small fawn hat was trim-
med with hrown ribbon and veiling,
and a spray of flowers in autuiuii
tonings was fastened to her coat la-
pel.
Tlie honeymoon was spent in Ho-
bart and Launceston, the bride tra-
velling in a" frock of soft black wool-
len under a cherry red coat, with
a black tum .trimmed with red,
and stuck with a black quill. Oilier
