Ellen Turner Stevens, our beloved mother and grandmother died peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the age of 96.

She was born in Holden, Utah on November 25, 1912 to Rawldo Ward and Elmeda Johnson Turner. She was the third of nine children.

She married Mailon Franklin Stevens on June 19, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. She graduated from Millard High School. She was a faithful, dedicated member of the LDS Church. She lived an exemplary life of service and loved her family, friends and the Lord.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons; Helen (Bill) Rigby, Centerville, UT; Priscilla (John) Koudelka, Nampa, ID; Frank (Faris) Stevens, Holden, UT; Ross (Chris) Stevens, Holden, UT; Colleen (Greg) Steele, Reno, NV; 26 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Also, survived by sisters, Marjorie Stevens; Bernice Stephenson; Phyllis Tanner; brothers, Donald Turner; Claude Turner. Preceded in death by husband, Mailon F. Stevens; sister, Shirley Hendrickson; Alta Turner; brother Ward Turner; grandson Joseph John Koudelka III, great-grandsons JJ; Justin and Joshua Koudelka.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holden LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call on Friday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Holden Cemetery.
