Pat Rasmussen

Pat VaLoy Leavitt Rasmussen, 58, passed away at home in Weiser, Idaho, after a lengthy illness on July 28, 2011.

Pat was born August 26, 1952 in Rupert, Idaho to Floyd and Ella Leavitt, the youngest of five children. Pat grew up in Boise, Idaho, where she graduated from Boise High. She married her beloved husband Lynn Rasmussen, August 1971 and lived in Emmett, Cottonwood, Weippe, Grangeville, Kooskia, McCall and Weiser, Idaho.

Pat was an accomplished pianist, organist and choir director. She shared her talents with her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the community.

She and Lynn raised seven children, Scott Rasmussen of Weiser, Chad Rasmussen of Weiser, Marty Rasmussen of Weiser, Christy Marvin of Weiser, Carey Jacobsen of Nampa, Kurt Rasmussen of Fruitland, and Katy Hardman of North Pole, Alaska.

Pat is survived by her husband Lynn, her four sons, three daughters, 21 grandchildren, two brothers, Cloyd Leavitt and Derk Leavitt, two sisters, Jeanne Kelly and Connie Robinson all of Boise.

Per her request there will be no formal funeral but there will be a casual potluck celebration of her life on September 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Weiser City Park.
