Mr. W. H. Walters
Mr. William Henry Walters, who
died at the Launceston General
Hospital recently, was one of the
oldest residents of Mole Creek. He
was 90 years of age. A son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wal-
ters, he was born at Chudleigh
where he received his early life.
He married Miss Sarah Ann
East, who died five years ago.
After his marriage he lived in the
Flowerdale and Ridgley district,
settling at Mole Creek 20 years
ago. He had a family of six daugh-
ters and five sons-Alice (Mrs.
Harris, dec.), Lizzie (Mrs. Blair,
Mole Creek), Myra (Mrs. Jubb,
Devonport), Florrie (Mrs. Bram-
ich, Trowutta), Robert (dec.)
Mark (Ridgley), Arthur (Riana),
Dora (Mrs. Hewitt, Mole Creek),
and Alf, (Mole Creek).
The funeral took place at the
Mole Creek cemetery. The ser-
vice was conducted by Mr. Chris.
Williams and Mr. C. Ratcliff. A
large number of friends and rela-
tives attended.
Chief mourners were the sons
and daughters. Pallbearers were
Messrs. A. Walters, Colin How, W.
Harris and F. Norton Smith, and
the carriers Messrs. Carl Blair,
Noel Blair, J. and N. Norton-
Smith, Clem Burtt, and Mervyn
Richardson.
Messrs. Arthur (Flowerdale),
George (Montumana) and Am
brose Walters (Burnie) are broth-
ers
