Notes about Chester Alonzo FARNSWORTH

Chester A. Farnsworth, son of Steven Alonzo and Lalone (Cluff) Farnsworth, was born December 5, 1929, in Colonial Garcia CHIH, Mexico, and departed this life on March 31, 2007, in the home of his daughter in Marshfield, Mo. At the time of his passing he was 77 years of age. Chet worked for his father-in-law in Arizona after he and Jane Haymore were married in 1949. They later moved to Yuba City, Calif., in 1955, and he worked for the Carnation Company. In 1966, they moved to Northern Utah, where he was a dairy farmer. They then moved to Marshfield, Mo., and farmed and ranched until he retired in 1992. Chet was preceded in death by his father, Steven Alonzo Farnsworth; his wife Jane (Haymore) Farnsworth; his son, Joseph Edwin Farnsworth; three sisters, Ethel Carnes, Larene Price an Louise Taylor; and a grandson, Jordan Bruce White. Survivors include his mother, Lalone Farnsworth; a special friend, Inez Kirk; three daughters, Jan Wood and husband, Lewis, of Colorado, Judy Dotson of Oklahoma, and Jill Wilson and husband, Reggie, of Marsh-field, Mo.; six sons, Daniel Farnsworth and wife, Carolee, of Oregon, Richard Farnsworth and wife, Susie, of Tennessee, Tommy Farnsworth of Oklahoma, David Farnsworth and wife, Lisa, of California, John Farnsworth and wife, Lois, of Marshfield, Mo., Sam Farnsworth of Michigan; one sister, Patsy Millett Price and husband, John, of Idaho; three brothers, Learon Farnsworth and wife, Annie, of Washington, Norman Farnsworth and wife, Betty, of Arizona, Edwin Farnsworth and wife, Sandy, of Arizona; 38 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Services for Chester Farnsworth will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2007, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Marshfield, Mo., with Bishop Rex Garner officiating. Burial will be in Marshfield Cemetery, Marshfield, under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007, in the funeral home.
