Notes about Patrick BURKETT

MR. PATRICK BURKETT
After a long illness- the death oc
curred at the Cottage Hospital on
Thursday of Mr. Patrick Burkett, at
the age of 63 years, The deceased
gentleman during his residence on
King Island made a host of friends by
his genial disposition and readiness to
assist in auy cause for the betterment
of Currie, and he was an ardent
sportsman. He leaves a widow and
grown-up family— Ivy (Mrs. A. R.
Richardson), Alice (Mrs. R. Steven
son), Eva (Mrs, F. Yott), Charles
(King Island), Veronica and Patrioia.
The late Mr, Burkett formerly resided
at the brown coal mine (Yallourn,
Vic.) and at Moe, in Gippsland. His
remains were interred in the Currie
oemetery on Friday afternoon,- their
being a large attendance of friends at
graveside, when the Roman Catholic
burial service was read by Mr. J. J.
Brown. Messrs Medoraft & Son
carried out the mortuary arrange
ments.
