Notes about Hannah "Annie" V O'Loughlin

IRELAND TO NSW AUSTRALIA
From Cappanalaght, Parish of Kilfintinan
& Six Mile Bridge, Co. Clare, Ireland

Whilst I am not a ‘Collins’ descendant myself, it would be remiss of me not to include this fine family who produced so many of my cousins, the consequence of two Collins brothers marrying into two separate branches of my family.
It seems that some of the family first made the move to Australia in 1854, whilst most the rest of this line arrived on the ‘Sirocco’ on 28/1/1864.
Most of family members made their home in the Braidwood/Araluen districts of NSW and were involved in gold-digging & farming/market gardening, and also owned a hotel in Araluen for many years through multiple generations.
In about 1906-07, times must have been difficult as many of the family moved to New Zealand, as did several members of most of my branches of families.
