Maria Kickers stated in 1706 that all her eight children had been fathered by Frederick Botha (CJ 4, 363).

In 1718 a note in the Resolutions of the Council of Policy stated that money was still owed to the Company by Jan Cornelisz. van oud Beijerland, whose widow, Maria Bombam had a daughter, married to Jan Barentsz Siger, and three sons still living, Theunis, Jacobus and Willem Bota. (C. 47, pp. 32-42, 13 Sept. 1718)
