August VAN MULUKOM werd geboren te Druten op 29 juni 1869 en was de zoon van Theodorus VAN MULUKOM en Maria Cornelia VAN SON. Zijn beroep was broodbakker te Hees (Nijmegen). August VAN MULUKOM overleed te Nijmegen op 23 oktober 1940, 71 jaar oud. 

August VAN MULUKOM trouwde (2e huwelijk), 47 jaar oud, te Nijmegen op 17 oktober 1916 met Catharina CLOOSTERMAN, oud 35 jaar. Zij werd geboren te Neerbosch (Nijmegen) op 9 januari 1881 en was de dochter van Johannes CLOOSTERMAN en Grada TEUNISSEN. Haar beroep was dienstbode (1916). Catharina CLOOSTERMAN overleed te Nijmegen op 16 oktober 1944, 63 jaar oud. Uit dit huwelijk zijn geen kinderen geboren. 

August VAN MULUKOM was eerder gehuwd. Hij trouwde, 26 jaar oud, te Nijmegen op 20 juni 1895 met Wilhelmina LELIEVELDT, oud 32 jaar. Zij werd geboren te Hees (Nijmegen) op 23 januari 1863 en was de dochter van van Johannes LELIEVELDT en Antonia TAX. Beroep onbekend. Wilhelmina LELIEVELDT overleed te Nijmegen op 7 oktober 1915, oud 52 jaar. Uit dit huwelijk zijn 3 kinderen geboren, te weten: 
-Antonia Christina Maria VAN MULUKOM, geboren op 25 december 1897 te Hees (Nijmegen), overleden 1980 te Nijmegen. Zij trouwde in 1918 met Wilhelmus Theodorus WENNEKES (1894-1974). Uit dit huwelijk zijn 8 kinderen geboren. ;
-Maria Wilhelmina VAN MULUKOM, geboren op 5 april 1900 te Hees (Nijmegen). 
-Theodorus Johannes van MULUKOM, geboren op 12 mei 1902 te Hees (Nijmegen). In 1923 trouwde hij te Gennep met Maria Gertruda SLUNGERS. Uit dit huwelijk zijn 3 kinderen geboren, te weten: 
-Guus VAN MULUKOM. Is na de 2e WW naar Noord-Frankrijk vertrokken (?). Geboren rond 1925. 
-Herman VAN MULUKOM. In Nijmegen gebleven (?). 
-Toos VAN MULUKOM. Non in Zuid-Afrika (?). 

Toen Catharina CLOOSTERMAN in 1916 trouwde met August VAN MULUKOM was zij 35 jaar en werd zij de stiefmoeder van de 3 kinderen uit het vorige huwelijk van haar man. Deze waren respectievelijk 19,16 en14 jaar oud. In 1918 verliet haar oudste stiefdochter Antonia, op 21 jarige leeftijd, het ouderlijk huis en huwde Wilhelmus WENNEKES. In 1923 trouwde haar stiefzoon Theodorus, op 21-jarige leeftijd, met Maria SLUNGERS. De verdere levensloop van de tweede stiefdochter is (mij) onbekend. 

Toen Theodorus trouwde, was zijn vader August VAN MULUKOM 54 jaar oud. Men kan gevoegelijk aannemen dat Theodorus al voor zijn huwelijk in de bakkerij van zijn vader meewerkte. Wanneer Theodorus daadwerkelijk het bedrijf heeft overgenomen is onbekend. 
Feit is dat al ver voor de oorlog Theodorus VAN MULUKOM als bakker bekend stond in Hees en dat zijn vader August, tot zijn dood in 1940, woonde in het huis rechts naast de bakkerij. 

Catharina CLOOSTERMAN woonde daar nog tot het fatale bombardement in 1942. Alle huizen in de nabije omgeving werden zwaar beschadigd, onbewoonbaar verklaard en later afgebroken. 
Catharina CLOOSTERMAN is in 1944 overleden. Waar zij de deze laatste jaren vertoefd heeft is (mij) onbekend. 
Hoe het Theodorus VAN MULUKOM verder is vergaan is (mij) eveneens onbekend.

Dorpskern Hees

Op 22 juli 1942 viel een luchtdrukbom op de dorpskern van Hees. De ravage inhet dorp was groot. Op bovenstaande foto zien we een gedeelte van de vernielingen die door de bom werden aangericht. De foto is genomen vanaf het dorpsplein in de richting van de Korte Bredestraat. De bakkerij van Theodorus VAN MULUKOM (links) is deerlijk gehavend en zal later gesloopt worden. Voor de ingang van de winkel staan Wim LAS, zoon van de eigenaar van de eveneens gehavende kruideniers-bakkerszaak in de dorpskern en Guus, zoon van bakker Theodorus VAN MULUKOM. 
Rechts de sigarenzaak van de EIJKHOUT. Ook dit pand werd, evenals nog enkele huizen in de omgeving, onbewoonbaar na de bominslag. Door het verdwijnen van onder andere de op deze foto afgebeelde huizen, verdween de oude dorpskern van Hees.
