Op 11 juli 1743 wordt voor de Schepenen van Heeze de inventaris van de nagelaten goederen van Jan Bacx opgemaakt. Er worden 22 percelen land inclusief een huis genoemd, alles gelegen te Heeze. Het somma totalis komt op slechts f. 48,-, omdat het een onbedeeld bezit was. (SAZOB, Heeze R 237, f 103)

Hij is getrouwd te Someren op 12 september 1717 met Willemijn Jansen van der Voort, gedoopt te Someren op 29 november 1693, overleden te Heeze op 15 september 1735, dochter van Jan Thonis van der Voort en Margriet Peter Vermeulen.

In het Schepentrouwboek van Someren worden de leeftijden van het echtpaar vermeld: Jan Hansen Backs, joncman van Heeze, zijnde ouderdoms omtrent de 22 jaren ende Willemijn Jansen van der Voort, jongedochter haerer ouderdoms omtrent de 23 jaren, versoecken enz.
