Kommentaar Ype Brouwers: Er werd nogal wat moeite gedaan om na te gaan hoe lang het huwelijk van Wierd en Grietie in stand bleef, maar van haar werd verder geen spoor meer aangetroffen. Het staat allerminst vast of Grietie de moeder was van alle zes kinderen. Toch mogen we er wel op rekenen dat zij de moeder was van de (oudste) zoon Wybe (die als eerste de naam Grietje vernoemde).
