Hij overleed tussen 1726 en 1748, want hij koopt een huis van zijn ouders in 1726, en vrouw is weduwe in de volkstelling 1748.

Jan Rompelman en zijn vrouw Anneken de Haas namen op 11 november 1726 een hypotheek op bij Hendrik ten Cate Janneszn. en zijn vrouw Elisabeth Tielemans. Op 11 Nov 1760 verklaart Antoni Warnaars, dat hij ƒ300.- heeft ontvangen uit name van de weduwevan Jan Rompelman. Op 24 Oct 1768 werd weer ƒ300.- afbetaald, en op 15 Feb 1775 de rest.6
