A FREED child-sex beast who made a beeline for two young boys has been sent to a mental hospital ? indefinitely.
Evil Carl Lundbech, 67, was seen approaching the youngsters just hours after leaving jail.
Days later the persistent paedophile, who has spent 40of the past 45 years behind bars, was spotted going into a TOYSHOP.
The monster was ordered to be held under sections 37 and 41 of the Mental Health Act ? meaning only the Home Secretary can sanction his release.
The ruling at Isleworth Crown Court, West London, came after a judge heard that JPs in Lundbech's home city of Cardiff had banned him from going near kids.
That order was still in force when he left Wandsworth Jail in South London. He had been sentenced to 18 months for repeatedly breaking it.
Amazingly, because of time he served on remand, Lundbech was eligible for release after just two weeks.
The latest arrest led to the pervert being held in a mental hospital ? but he STILL managed to target youngsters.
Isleworth court heard that on a visit to the dentist he tried to accost two girls of four in the waiting room.
Judge Sam Katkhuda said it was only thanks to the JPs' old ban on Lundbech approaching children that he was stopped.
He said: "If the police officers were not there, who knows what would have happened?"

'High risk' paedophile back in prison

The court heard allegations Carl Lundbech spoke to children
A high risk paedophile has been sent to prison after violating a sex offender order. Carl Michael Lundbech, 65, was given an 18-month sentence by a judge at Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court after he was found guilty of eight counts of breaching the order to keep away from children.
But having served half of the sentence already waiting on remand, he could be free again with weeks, the court was told.
Unemployed Lundbech approached two schools in Cardiff on his release from prison and later gained access to a youngster's birthday party at a McDonald's restaurant in London.
Judge Henry Blacksall said he knew Lundbech was "unable to control himself".
A convicted paedophile ordered not to speak to children on his release from prison approached two primary schools in Cardiff, a court was told.
Lundbech was considered a high risk offender and placed under round-the-clock surveillance.
The breaches are said to have taken place between 20-22 January in Cardiff and at Acton, West London, where it is alleged he spoke to children at a party in a McDonalds restaurant.
Giving evidence in his defence, Lundbech described how on getting out of Cardiff Prison, he had tried to seek out his brother in the Ely district of the city.
'I can't remember'
The order had prohibited him from going within 50 metres of a school, but he had been spotted by a surveillance squad of police near two schools, Herbert Thompson Junior School, in Ely, and the Windsor Clive Junior School.
He was also said to have approached children on two occasions at McDonald's in Acton High Street. London.
Lundbech admitted speaking to the mother of a four-year-old in the restaurant but never to the child, although he had asked the child's age.
"I don't know why, it was just one of those things. I can't remember."
He denied a further charge of making a second visit to McDonald's later on 22 January and speaking to children at a party being held there, saying he was never there.
At Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court, Lundbech gave evidence that he had been spotted in the streets of Cardiff and west London within days of being released from jail and was taunted by members of the public.
Cross examined by Brian Warner, prosecuting, Lundbech said he had slept rough in Acton after failing to find his old friends or obtain any accommodation.
"I was in a very morbid condition."
I kept my distance at all times," he said and denied telling the police that he was glad when he was finally arrested.
The hearing continues.

IN A key test of controls over released paedophiles following the outcry of "Sarah's Law", a child molester for 40 years has been convicted but will return to the streets in two weeks' time.
The move will horrify campaigners for tougher laws to restrict and supervise paedophiles released from prison sentences back into the community.

PAEDOPHILE Carl Lundbech - who persistently targeted children across Cardiff - has been sent to a mental hospital indefinitely.
At Isleworth Crown Court in West London, Lundbech, 67, was ordered to be detained under sections 37 and 41 of the Mental Health Act after he was seen approaching youngsters just hours after his latest release from prison. Now only the Home Secretary can sanction his release.
Dubbed the most dangerous paedophile in Cardiff, the court heard Lundbech had been serving 18 months in Wandsworth Prison in South London for repeatedly breaking an order imposed in Cardiff stating he should not approach children.
Lundbech only served two weeks of his sentence because of the time he had spent on remand.
He was spotted entering a toy shop days after his release.
Persistent offender Lundbech has spent 40 of the last 45 years locked up in prison.
Lundbech, who has a string of convictions stretching back to 1955 - including 27 sexual offences - was placed on the sex offenders' register by Cardiff magistrates in January 2000.
In Cardiff, Lundbech's favourite haunts included Llanishen Park, Ty Glas Road in Llanishen, a wooded area near Llanishen Rugby Club, and around primary schools in Ely.
NSPCC area children's service manager for South and East Wales Kevin Gibbs said: ``It is extremely rare for men-tal health legislation to be used to deal with paedophiles.
``However, because of the persistent offending behaviour of this individual, then the judge may have felt this was the correct direction to take.''
Mr Gibbs warned of the dangers of excusing paedophile behaviour by claiming it is an illness.
``It is a double-edged sword - although this is a way to get paedophiles off the streets, it should not be seen as a chance for other offenders to shirk responsibility for their actions.
Police to keep close eye on sex offender
Paedophile, Carl Lundbech, who approached children immediately after his last release from prison, will be closely monitored by police when he is released later this month.
Lundbech, who has 27 convictions dating back to 1955, was sentenced this week to 18 months imprisonment for breaking the order that prevented him approaching children after his release from prison in January. The sex offender has already served eight months on remand and will be released on 23 October.
Four days after his release from prison earlier this year, Lundbech was seen near schools and approaching children in a fast food restaurant. He denied the charges. He had not been placed on the sex offenders' register as his offences pre-dated the legislation introduced in 1997.
Police sources have indicated that following his release from Wandsworth prison, Lundbech will be on licence for nine months, under 24 hour supervision.
A detective said: "The police will make every effort and do everything in their power to reduce the threat to the community."

Tory speaks out to stop move by sex offender

Birmingham Post (England), The, Oct 29, 1999
by Chris Gr
The Home Office yesterday dropped plans to house a notorious child abuser in the West Midlands after intervention by an MP.
Officials had planned to place 64-year-old Carl Michael Lundbech in a bail hostel in Stonnall Road, Aldridge, for two weeks.
Lundbech, who has spent 39 of the last 43 years in prison, would have been kept under 24-hour supervision before being released into a community outside the West Midlands.
But Mr Richard Shepherd (Con Aldridge-Brownhills) released a letter from Home Office Minister Mr Paul Boateng which detailed Lundbech's convictions. Mr Boateng's letter said publicising Lundbech's arrival would cause "enormous potential damage".
Mr Boateng said: "The police and probation services believe that this plan offers the best protection to the public generally and your constituents will not be put at risk.
"That protection would be reduced if, because of press interest, the arrangements break down and the offender is driven underground."
Releasing the letter, Mr Shepherd said: "In conscience I could not withhold this information from those living in close proximity to the Stonnall Road bail hostel.
"There is, of course, an infant's school within the neighbourhood. I believe that local parents have a right to know that this individual is classified as dangerous."
He said a Government inspector had recognised the hostel was not suitable for its location by refusing a planning application to extend it.
Lundbech's first recorded offence was in 1955 when he was put on probation for two years for indecently assaulting boys. He was last jailed in 1998 when he received three years for trying to kidnap a 13-year-old boy.
He was released early on April 20 this year and banned from approaching or living with anyone under 16. But he was returned to custody within 48 hours of his release after trying to lure a boy into his bedroom.
Lundbech was released from Winson Green Prison, Birmingham, yesterday and was due to go to Aldridge temporarily.
West Midlands assistant chief probation officer Mr Dick Marsh said he would have been under the strictest possible supervision. Lundbech, who has now been sent to a hostel outside the West Midlands, would have been escorted by police to and from the hostel, subjected to a 24-hour curfew and placed under 24-hour surveillance.
Mr Marsh said it was not as if a dangerous offender was being released into the community with no planning. Residents would have had the best protection.
MP Shepherd defends sex offender leak; Why an MP spoke out on sex offender

Birmingham Post (England), The, Oct 30, 1999
A Conservative MP yesterday defended his decision to leak confidential Home Office details to his constituents about plans to re-house a sex offender in the West Midlands.
Mr Richard Shepherd (Aldridge-Brownhills) said he had no other option but to release the information and acted after listening to his conscience.
"Am I going to be bound by a letter that is trying to put me under a degree of confidentiality when something could go wrong?" Mr Shepherd asked.
"I am the elected representative for that area. These are the issues that we have to weigh up. What do I do? I have no doubt that I am elected to represent the interests of local people."
Mr Shepherd acted after he was told in a letter from Home Office Minister Mr Paul Boateng that serial sex offender Carl Michael Lundbech would be moved into the Stonnall Road bail hostel in Aldridge.
Lundbech (64) has spent 39 of the last 43 years in prison for offences against children and would have been kept under round-the-clock supervision prior to being released into the community.
His first recorded offence was in 1955 when he was put on probation for indecently assaulting two young boys and last year he received a three-year sentence for the attempted kidnap of a 13-year-old boy.
The MP, who found out about the proposals on Thursday, said he was forced to act
