Toen Jan Claasse eind mei 1690 met zijn schip in Gouda was, werd hierbij door commys Swartewout beslag gelegd op het schip of de lading.
Op verzoek van Adriaan Temming, raatsheer van de koning van Denemarken, verklaren Louris Claasse en Stephanus Beljeur, burgers, dat commys Swartewout een dag daarna tegen Jan Claasse had gezegd dat hij die maand reeds bij 28 schepen beslag had gelegd en dat hij bij geen van deze inbeslagnemigen in het ongelijke is gesteld en dat hij bij Claase ook wel gelijk zal krijgen.
N.B. Louris Claase tekent als Louweris Claese.
