      Robbenvangers en veldwachter veroordeeld

      Leeuwarden, 19 April. Heden werden Johannes B, 29 jaar en Jacobus B, 28 jaar, robbenvangers te Zoutkamp, verdacht van ruim 500 vellen met aangenaaide pooten bij den ambtenaar belast met de conrtôle op de ingeleverde zeehondenvellen te hebben ingeleverd, veroordeeld overeenkomstig den eisch, wegens oplichting tot 1 jaar gevangenisstraf, met aftrek van de preventieve hechtenis. De controleerende ambtenaar D.M., gemeente-veldwachter te Schiermonnikoog, die kwitanties voor 1040 zeehondenvellen heeft ingeleverd, werd wegens valschheid in geschrifte veroordeeld tot 1 jaar gevangenisstraf met aftrek van preventieve hechtenis. De eisch was hier 9 maanden met aftrek. Naar wij verder vernemen is het niet zeker dat het rijk aan de gemeente Schiermonnikoog de uitbetaalde premie zal vergoeden. De schade, plm. 2000 gulden, zal dan alleen voor de gemeente Schiermonnikoog zijn.
