      MRS. SOPHIA DUNCAN.
      The funeral of Mrs Sophia Duncan left her residence, 19 Berner Street. Merewether on Sunday for the General Cemetery, Sandgate.
      Mr. W. F. Piper, of the Merewether Baptist Church, held services at the house and graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Ashman, Heddles, Caldwell and Davies.
      Mrs Duncan was 78 years old. and was born at Oakley, Scotland. She had been a resident of Merewether for 54 years.
      Her Husband predeceased her 28 years ago.
      She leaves three sons, three daughters, eight grandchildren, and two great-grand children.
      Wreaths were recieved from-Kate, Sophia and Ted: Tom, Pat and Norma: Jim. Elsie and Melba: Vera and Cems:
      Ermyr and Joyce; and the Arnold family; and Mr and Mrs Caldwell
