The following information was requested: place, name, relationship to head of family, marital status, age, gender, profession, birthplace, and whether blind, deaf, and dumb. Database online. I can now (27.11.12) confirm the identity of the Mungo Syme and his family in the 1861 census, in Old Bridge, Alloa, where Mungo is living with his new wife, Ann Mcnair, and her son, Walter Taylor, from previous marriage to John Taylor, on 03 Jun 1843. Walter was born 10 June 1845. There is also a daughter in the house, Helen Taylor, aged 14, b Alloa, but no record of her birth can be found on LDS. Further search in LDS also found a James Taylor, b Alloa, 15 Oct 1843, to the same parents.
