Notes about William Mitchell

1. Birth Date: 09 Mar 1807, Baptism Date: 22 Mar 1807, Baptism Place: Dysart, Fife, Scotland

2. 1807 MITCHEL, WILL ROBT. MITCHEL/MARGT. YOUNG 22/03/1807 426/ 40 370 Dysart

3. William Mitchell appears to have been married before he marries Barbara Aitken, as he has a daughter, Margaret, born in 1831, Dysart (See 1851 Census). Margaret is also in 1841 census with William but is not recorded as Williams daughter.
From Scotlands people I cannot find a birth of a Margaret in 1831 with a father named William Mitchell although there is a birth in Dysart of a Mary born 1833 to father William Mitchell and mother Catherine Taylor [MITCHELL, MARY, WILLIAM MITCHELL, CATHARINE TAYLOR 01/12/1833 426/ 60 126 Dysart].
There is another birth of a Margaret Mitchell, in Falkland in 1833, [MITCHELL, MARGARET, WILLIAM MITCHELL, MAGDALEN RENTOUL 14/09/1833 428/ 30 142 Falkland].
A marriage is found between William Mitchell and Catherine Taylor at Dysart in January 1833 [MITCHELL, WILLIAM, CATHARINE TAYLOR 26/01/1833 426/70 74 Dysart].
