1. Thomas and Janet emigrated to Australia between 1911 Census and 1944, when they celebrated their Golden Anniversary. It appeared thet their daughters Mary, Jemima, and Netta went with them, as Jim Harrower mentions Netta's Aunts in the diary he kept when in Australia, in November, 1978.

The records were released on 5 April 2011 following the end of their 100 year closure period. There were new questions relating to fertility of marriage: on duration of marriage; the number of living children born to each marriage; and the number alive at the time of the census.     GOLDEN WEDDING CELEBRATION ABROAD. -The golden wedding of Mr and Mrs Thomas Walker, late of Buckhaven, was celebrated at the Academy Hall, Thornbury, Melbourne, on the 29th April, where a large number of friends gathered to honour the occasion. A very enjoyable evening was spent by all. Among the guests were Mr and Mrs Mackie and daughter (Leven), Mr David Hughes (Leven), Mrs Skinner (Wemyss), Mrs Ovenstone and son (Pittenweem) Mr and Mrs Livingstone (nee Mary Moore) (Methil), Mrs Manstin (Dundee), Mr and Mrs Stewart (Hawick). The couple were the recipients of many gifts and cheques from far and near, and their many friends will be pleased to hear they are enjoying the very best of health in the land of their adoption. The couple are the parents of Mrs John Oliphant Methil.
