1841 Census records taken in Dull provide two John Scott’s.
a. John Scott, Age 55, living at East Park, Dull, born around 1786, in Perthshire, with no occupation. Peter Scott, Age 60, Head, is Farmer. There is a Mary Scott age 45 living in the house. There is no sign of Margaret.
b. In the 1851 Census, also in East Park, John Scott, born Dull, Perthshire, Age 70, retired farmer, and Mary Scott, Sister, age 65 appear. Mary appears to be the Mary living at East Park in the 1841 Census.
c. The other John Scott, in the 1841 Census was born in Perthshire, in 1796, living at Clachan, Dull, occupation Farmer. No sign of Margaret in this place either.

Conclusion: Margaret Douglas appears to die before the 1841 Census.
