Dat Caswijk een aangenomen naam was blijkt duidelijk uit een uittreksel van de overlijdensakte: "gecompareerd Klaas Kooijman, oud twee en vijftig jaren als behuwd zoon en Dirk Mantel, oud vijf en veertig jaren, bouwman als gebuur, beiden wonende te Andijk, welke ons verklaard hebben dat op de een en twintigste der maand Augustus 1819 's avonds om acht uren Neeltje Kruk(!) oud zes en tachtig jaren,zonder beroep, dochter van Reinder Kruk(!), zijnde weduwe van Jacob Ham alhier in het huis nummer een honderd een en vijftig is overleden. En hebben de declaranten..etc."
