09-08-2007. Simon Meinertsz.Semeyns (geb vóór 1514-overl tussen 1581 en 1588) was koopman van


beroep. Hij was in het begin van de Tachtigjarige Oorlog welgesteld: eigenaar van het huis "De


Blaeu Pynas" aan de oostzijde van de Breedstraat te Enkhuizen, exploitant van 4 zoutketen,


verschillende scheepstimmerwerven, touwbanen en rederijen. Hij wordt als eerste genoemd van de


"voornaemsten die uit de stadt vertrocken of zich elders verstaecken" in 1568.
