Sergeant Mosselman verwierf bij Koninklijk Besluit van 31 maart 1910 nummer 52 de Militaire Willemsorde vierde klasse voor zijn verrichtingen te Atjeh in 1909. In dezelfd rang werd hij bij Koninklijk Besluit van 6 januari 1912 benoemd tot officier voor zijn verrichtingen te Atjeh in 1910. Op 6 juni 1921 te Rotterdam werd Sergeant der marechaussees W.J. Mosselman wegens zijn uitstekende krijgsverrichtingen op het gevechtsveld in Oost-Indië benoemd tot ridder derde klasse van de Militaire Willemsorde. Het ridderkruis derde klasse is een hoogst zeldzame onderscheiding.


In 1940 gepensioneerd onderluitenant vlg. 2de luitenant titulair buiten dienst der infanterie van het Koninklijk Nederlands Indische Leger.
