Den eersten deze maand Augustus wierden drie maayers, boven Bremersche, door hun eigen volk, onder het hartroerenste aandenken, als de eerste slachtoffers dezer ziekte in en onderons dorp Oldeboorn, in het graf bijgezet. En de zieken wierden kosteloos weggevoerd. En de meeste gezonden stapten naar hun vaderland, ziende de ziekte dagelijks verergeren en zommigen sterven."
