NAH 137,27 December 1642, f. 138: Nicolaes van den Heuvel was the son of Willem van den Heuvel, the textile merchant, living in the Zijlstraat, where Willem van Heijthuijsen stayed temporarily when he arrived in Haarlem (see Doc. 27). Nicolaes van den Heuvel was married to Susanna van Halmael. Her brother Jacob was married to Susanna Crommelingh; on 16 July 1628 her sister Maria married Pieter Crommelingh (see N-4387); her brother Ysack married Maria van Sorge (see Doc. 50).
Ysack van Halmael, the son of Ysack van Halmael and Cathalina Jansdr de Wees, was born in Amsterdam, probably about 1610. The van Halmaels, originally from Antwerp, were linen merchants. Appropriately, Ysack's brothers and sisters married into other Haarlem merchant families, most of whom were Mennonite. On 16 July 1628 his sister, Maria van Halmael, married Pieter Crommelingh, and his sister, Susanna, married the linen merchant Nicolaes van den Heuvel. His brother Jacob married Susanna Crommelingh, daughter of Joost Crommelingh (see Doc. 81).
He is married to Susanna Crommelin.
They were married in church on November 17, 1647 at Haarlem, he was 43 years old.Source 1
