    Trijntje Jans is, zo blijkt uit een akte van 16 april 1792 waarin de erfgenamen van Jan Frijdriks Smit een hut en tuin aan het Oosterdiep bij de til in Veendam verkopen, op 6 mei 1787 te zijn getrouwd met Frerik Karsjens / Freerk Karsjes/Freerk Karsiens Zaadhof uit Aurich, overleden op 20 april 1837 in Beerta. Volgens de overlijdensakte van Trijntje (die in sommige aktes ook Trijntje Jans Smit wordt genoemd) is zij op 12 juli 1835 in Beerta overleden.

    Zij was arbeidster te Beerta.
